Over the past two decades I have accumulated a unique breadth of experience researching the interaction of humans and their environment. This includes positions in academia, conducting primary research on human behavior and disease transmission, and in the nonprofit sector, analyzing and reviewing environmental chemicals and their impacts on health. I enjoy making scientific research approachable and valuable to non-scientists. I have produced written materials and delivered oral presentations for academics, policy makers, advocates, and the public, sharing science to support health-protective decision making. My accomplishments include:• Published 60 peer-reviewed papers in leading academic journals.• Developed a fledgling non-profit organization into an internationally recognized resource for scientific information on hormone disrupting chemicals (see TEDX.org).• Co-created several databases of scientific information available for public use, including a globally-recognized database of endocrine disrupting chemicals, a database of environmental chemical effects during prenatal development, and a database of the health effects of 29 PFAS (see pfastoxdatabase.com).• Collaborated with government and academic experts to develop a code of practice for the conduct of systematic reviews in toxicology and environmental health. • Developed science communications to include social media, webinars, podcasts and info-graphics.
