After graduating from University of Strathclyde in 1998 with an honours degree in Information Science and Psychology, I worked as a Senior Intelligence Analyst in the Scottish Police Service for seven years before taking up the position of Information Manager within the West of Scotland Cancer Network in 2010. My current responsibilities include information management for a number of regional and national managed clinical networks, the development of robust information governance processes for the west of Scotland, the implementation of a regional reporting process for national Quality Performance Indicators, operational responsibility for a national cancer clinical audit database and contributing to the Scottish Government’s National Cancer Quality Programme.Key Achievements:• Development of a regional reporting and governance process for cancer quality performance indicators. • Project lead on a national injury surveillance pilot, co-ordinating staff from police and the NHS. • Analysis of police victim and offender data, providing police and health professionals with relevant public health data to help target resources, set priorities and highlight health inequalities.Specialities: Database interrogation, intelligence analysis, information management, information governance, quality improvement, advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
