Lead a group of cost estimators as project manager, responsible for the completion and delivery of multiple construction projects. Work with architects during the design phase to keep the design within budget, following projects from schematic design phase to construction documents, assisting in the creation and budgeting of value engineering items and strategies. Provide detailed construction cost estimating and take-offs from construction drawings and models.

Assisted in handling, feeding, cleaning, administering medication and preparing food for small orphan wildlife, in its majority squirrels and birds. Volunteered in this position for 4h a week for one entire season, but unfortunately the pandemic hit and I wasn't able to get back for the subsequent season.

The Foundation (FCCCHR) is an approval/listing agency which define standards and perform tests on Backflow Prevention Assemblies. It was founded in 1944 and is a subdivision of the University of Southern California, one of the top research universities in US.In the laboratory, I perform hydraulic tests in conformity with USC Approval Program’s standards on different types of backflow prevention assemblies, from different manufactures. These assemblies are designed to prevent the contamination of potable water systems.There, we analyze deviations from minimum requirements of performance, track possible problems and consider potential solutions, in order to assist the manufacturers in the correction of these unconformities, thus facilitating the process of obtaining the USC certifications, which are a requirement for them to be able to offer their products to the market.I was also approved on the USC Foundation’s Tester Training Course, preparing not only to perform tests in laboratory, but also field testing of all the different models of backflow prevention assemblies.

I worked on the enforcement of the Los Angeles Storm Water Program, by tracking and identifying irregular storm water dischargers in industries and construction sites and helping supervisors on issuing enforcement letters, allowing to move forward with enforcement actions for hundreds of irregular dischargers, which were far behind schedule originally.

Created and implemented a new method to monitor and control the company's material purchases and expenses, effectively helping to save costs and extinguish raw material deviations in paving services. I was responsible for all material purchase, delivery and stock control for this contractor, routinely with more than five paving construction projects simultaneously in execution. Participated actively in multiple projects. Calculated and controlled monthly payroll of material freight subcontractors. Designed detailed paving projects for small Cities Public Agencies and Private owners. Participated in meetings with public and private sector representatives to discuss projects requirements and basis of design.

Developed design consultancy and site investigation reports in urban water supply for a Brazilian Public Agency for Water and Waste Management. The reports served as preliminary studies for developing new water supply systems for expanding cities and rehabilitating and expanding the capacity of the existing ones. Was in charge of the final review of all the reports of co-workers. Collaborated in the design of executive sewage collection projects for municipal districts.

Managed and controlled costs and budgeting, as well as materials purchase and stocking, for a 5-story residential building in the millions-of-dollars investment range. Monitored, tracked and supervised the progress of construction activities on site. Fully developed as-built projects of plumbing and electrical system for the building, using AutoCAD software, including the final presentation for the clients. Assisted in the selling process, contacting clients and organizing meetings and site visits.

Researched, tested and improved equipment for intercepting and collecting greenhouse gases emissions by hydroelectric plants reservoirs.
