HSI's budget for 2020 is $81.9M.Framework: I use an equity-based framework. The framework is rooted in work developed by the Government Alliance on Race and Equity and supported by the Theory of Change. Planning focus: Lead planner for the City of Seattle's investments for youth homelessness (folks ages 18 to 25); co-lead planner for inter-local plan to end youth homelessness throughout King County, Washington. Current strategy has resulted in a 12.4% reduction in the number of youths experiencing homeless in the past 12-months.COVID-19 response team: Worked on shelter deintensification during the coronavirus pandemic. Focus areas included meal expansion, transportation, and FEMA reimbursement documentation. As of 8/7/2020, the percentage of positive COVID-19 cases among people experiencing homeless is 2.4% compared to 5.1% in the general population (source King County Public Health.)
