About Carol Silva Moralez

In my role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Upskill NWA, I am leading the organization through its initial start-up phase with a goal to establish a robust, self-sustaining organization. I am a an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and results-driven servant leader with a proven ability to convene diverse constituents and create collaborative public and private partnerships across nonprofit, governmental, and business sectors to solve big challenges with a natural ability to inspire trust and followership across a diverse array of stakeholders through compelling influence, powerful charisma, passion in my beliefs, and drive towards action.I take great pride in serving as the President & CEO of Upskill NWA, where established the vision and values of the organization. I lead a team of dedicated and passionate servant leaders committed to transformative work. Together, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of Northwest Arkansas families.Our mission at Upskill NWA is to connect under-employed and under-represented individuals with their dream careers. Every day, we work towards this goal by providing equitable access to education, offering coaching and mentoring to navigate the educational system, connecting individuals with essential wrap-around services, and ultimately assisting them in securing higher-wage jobs in the healthcare sector. Through these efforts, we aim to create opportunities for individuals to change the trajectory of their families and it's working!Upskill NWA’s program is changing the lives of Northwest Arkansas families since 2022:• 251 Northwest Arkansas residents enrolled in Upskill NWA and the number is growing weekly and an 89% retention rate• 56 graduates since 2022• 98% of graduates have been placed with local employers• 167% increase in household incomeWhat inspires me most is witnessing the unity of our community, rallying together to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive.My professional journey includes a 25-year tenure at Walmart Stores, Inc., where I held multiple leadership roles in store operations and at the home office. Notably, I led the design and development of functional and leadership training for Walmart Academy stores. I am recognized as a proven leader in Culture Building, People Leadership, Talent Development, and Organizational Development.I am honored to have received the 2024 C Suite Award from Arkansas Money & Politics (AMP), 2023 Top 10 C-Suite Executive Award and the 2020 Top 10 Women Business Award from the NWA Business Journal.
