The Production Supervisor utilizes machinery, materials and manpower available to complete the daily production build schedule. All established quality standards will be met as well as creating and maintaining a safe work environment. At any given time, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading areas in operations, materials or warehousing depending on assignment. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager and is significant to the evolution and sustenance of a best in class lean operations culture within a state of the art, highly automated meat slicing facility in Kansas City, KS.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before immediate supervisor or employees of organization.Directly supervise employees in the production department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Resposibilities include interviewing,hiring, and training employees; planning,assigning and directing work; appraising performance;rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
