15 years in leadership positions in various industries build the foundation of my practical approach to training and consulting. Going global, mergers & acquisitions, managing under recession... – I have done a few things. My background is sales & marketing – many years in B2B and the "metalworking world" as board member, sales manager and project manager. B2C-experience from the transportation industry as well as my own company start up in retail. I started training and consulting as a project manager for a large commercial excellence transformation. "There is always room for improvement" and "la solution existe" are some of my basic beliefs and I enjoy helping people and organisations to progress.Today I focus on helping technical professionals to develop their sales, negotiations and leadership skills.     Company start-up. Developed an innovative business modell to promote and sell rear facing car seats in Switzerland. Traditionally in Switzerland when a child outgrows their infant carrier parents purchase a Group 1 forward facing carseat. This can be quite an occasion as the parent looks forward to having their child facing forward. Such seats are widely available in the market and currently culturally accepted. We aim however to challenge this mindset because it has been proven it is five times safer for kids to continue travelling rear facing until the age of four. To keep your child rear facing means just that you do not move to a forward facing seat but instead purchase a Group 1 rear facing car seat. Such seats have been used in Scandinavia for decades. This shows in their accidents statistics: by far less kids are seriously injured or die in car accidents.Main tasks and achievenements: Product portfolio definition, pricing, marketing strategy, supplier selection and negotiations, warehousing, stock-keeping, building the sales network, selling the products and saving a few kid's lives. The company still grows. I have handed my "baby" over to a very capable successor to focus on my work as consultant and trainer.
