I am a sophomore at Indiana University in the Kelley School of Business studying Marketing as well as Sports Marketing/Management. Before entering college, I dedicated a large portion of my life to soccer. I played center midfield, not only focusing on scoring goals but consistently pushing myself to work twice as hard and also support defenders. I emphasized working hard as a sign of respect for all of my teammates on the field and making sure to focus on communication. Soccer has been the catalyst for the creation of many leadership qualities that I have today, along with my loyalty and passion for working in a team. I was also provided the opportunity to be captain of my multiple soccer teams which honed in my leadership skills and taught me to unite people as well as lead with humility. Sports were a large part of my life because I moved 9 times throughout my childhood. Each time, my passion for sport remained constant and allowed me to adjust quickly to my new surroundings. However, a yearning for excellence and coordination remains as I actively participate in Kelley Student government. Recently, I have reached IU with my best foot forward. In all of my leadership roles , I developed my loyalty to these communities as well as intense passion for seeing myself and my peers succeed. I was able to achieve this goal through mentorship as well as tutoring on multiple occasions. Now, I seek more opportunities to grow as an individual to share the knowledge I have as well as meet new people and gain a broader perspective of my role within the larger community of the world.
