Banc One Equity Capital (formerly First Chicago Equity Capital) was the private equity investment division of Bank One Corporation (now part of JP Morgan Chase). Worked with companies in a variety of industries with a focus on profitable revenue growth, implementation of professional business practices, acquisition integration and long-term value creation. PARTNER (1994 - 2000)Responsible for all phases of the investment process including: deal sourcing, execution, management, and exit. Examples include:- Developed partnership agreement with executive in the specialty chemicals industry and, through six acquisitions and internal growth, built company to $250 million in revenues in three years.- Partnered with private equity investor to acquire $50 million food service equipment company.- Formed partnership with management team to found finance company serving the home security industry. Developed operating model, conducted due diligence, raised financing to launch and grow company.PROGRAM DIRECTOR, Corporate FoundationsWith BOEC Partners and industry partners, developed the Corporate Foundations program to assist management in implementation of professional business practices: Acquisition Integration; Board Leadership; Executive Compensation; Control, Planning, and Reporting; Strategic Planning; Organization Development; Growth through Acquisitions; and Realizing Shareholder Value. Created documentation. Worked with portfolio company management on program implementation in all new and existing investment companies. Advised clients in variety of industries, in and out of bankruptcy, and reviewed each as prospective equity investment opportunity.
