I've been at Alaska Airlines since May 2014 working as a software developer in their e-commerce department. I work as a full-stack developer on the website, primarily in C# with a little React.js, javascript, and node.js thrown in. Prior to that, I was a software engineer at The Seattle Times for 16+ years.Outside of work, I've been heavily involved with Destination Imagination for many years, first as a Team Manager, and then as the Score Room Manager since around 2010. Other interests include trail running, November Project, and travel (in part thanks to the amazing flight benefits at Alaska!)

Reduced processing time by 70%.Worked with a team of developers, system architects and business analysts to design and develop a web application (VS 2008, ASP.Net) allowing off-site salespeople to enter sales directly.Designed and developed a telemarketing payroll application (originally in ASP.Net, rewritten and enhanced in VB.Net 2008) which calculates employee pay based on sales, hours worked, adjustments and paid time off, and provides a feed to the Company payroll system.Modified SQL Server T-SQL stored procedures to speed up processing for ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulation for newspapers) reporting system. Processes were running over three hours due to inefficient SQL in stored procedures. I was able to reduce the time to less than two minutes, avoiding the necessity of buying a larger server.Responsible for implementing a third-party archival document storage solution used throughout the company. Modify and upgrade existing applications when necessary.
