Carol helps parents, educators and other adults build stronger relationships with the children in their lives. She brings openness and real life experiences to share, to help facilitate the learning about ourselves and the children whose lives we impact. Carol will use research-backed principles and tools that build skills, restore clarity and confidence, and bring peace to your home, classroom or school. She loves facilitating parenting classes, as well as Positive Discipline in the School and Classroom for individual educators and staff groups. She can also come in and work with you in your classroom.She has worked with hundreds of parents of all aged children. She has done training with school staffs from preschool through high school, and summer camp staff.. She co-founded Positive Discipline of Connecticut, and is Co-Chair of the international Board of Directors of the Positive Discipline Association. Carol writes blogs for Positive Discipline of Connecticut, and has articles published in Compass, a Positive Discipline digital magazine. She has two adult sons and a husband of over 30 years. Their relationships continue to grow from Positive Discipline.She is a strong public speaker, with experience ranging from Positive Discipline conferences to leadership keynote speaker. Carol has spoken on topics ranging from "Capable Kids, Calmer Home, to "Building Relationships with Children Adversely Affected by Trauma." Drove start-up of bringing Positive Discipline program to Connecticut. Received funding to train 28 people to teach parenting classes in Brookfield, CT. Continue to receive grants to fund parenting and school based classes.Positive Discipline of Connecticut promotes and encourages the development of life skills and respectful relationships in families, schools, and businesses in our local communities. We will provide classes to parents, caregivers, educators, and youth development workers, teaching how to raise a child using Positive Discipline skills.Parenting and Educator classes are available in Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown, New Milford, Wilton and Monroe, and we continue to expand.
