I completed an internship at ARCH - Advanced Research Centre on Healthcare Automation, part of The BioRobotics Institute at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa. The internship was part of an innovative project focused on developing a myokinetic interface for the control of robotic hands, enabling more intuitive and effective interaction through magnets implanted in residual muscles.• Developed an algorithm to discriminate the orientation of implanted magnets, providing surgeons with an intra-operative tool to verify magnet polarity.• Enhanced skills in Matlab, specifically in serial communication with external sensor boards, implementing tracking algorithms to locate magnet positions, and data analysis to determine magnet orientation.• Achieved significant results within a short internship duration, contributing to the overall advancement of the myokinetic interface project.
