We provide legal, forensic and security consulting in cases in which language can be evidence, using our software ALIAS: Automated Linguistic Identification and Assessment Systems. We can help you identify the author of a document, how closely different documents overlap each other, whether the author was a native or non-native English speaker, if the suicide note is a real suicide note, if a threat letter is authentic.... and we base all our work on validated research using ground truth data.Our software ALIAS is available by subscription to vetted and trained users from the investigative, intelligence, security, law enforcement, legal, and human resources communities. Our software LEGLER is available by subscription to attorneys and legal researchers.

ILE conducts primary research on forensic linguistic methods, maintaining research relationships with scholars in Spain, South Korea, Greece, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and the United States. At ILE, Dr. Chaski manages research relationships and projects. Currently, ILE researchers are working in Spanish, Italian, German, Urdu, Arabic and Korean.Based on this research, Dr. Chaski and her team of linguists provide consulting services throughout the United States and internationally, through ALIAS Technology LLC. ALIAS is an Automated Linguistic Identification and Assessment System based on computational linguistics and statistics. ALIAS currently provides several methods of authorship identification, text relatedness and threat assessment.

Supporting the life cycle of literacy, the Marylee Chaski Charitable Corporation honors the life and legacy of Marylee Chaski through grants for pre-literacy programs, practice of literacy in vulnerable situations such as homelessness or chronic disease, and the reproduction of literacy through teacher education and literary arts.

I am completing formal relationships between the Lingusitic Society of America and professional organizations in forensic science.

I empirically evaluated language-based methods for determining authorship, developed a database for testing methods and assisted in developing technical working groups (TWGs) in questioned document examination (handwriting identification), eyewitness identification and witness interviewing, and conferences on the intersection of science and law.

I taught linguistics to undergraduate and graduate students (Master's level) and provided assessment for a major grant funded by the US Department of Education for literacy programs in factories.
