I have worked as part of projects such as Spirit of the Valley for Northamptonshire County Council. I have worked with / for the National Trust, museums, county, borough and district councils, schools, hospitals, Social Services, MIND, the Youth Service, the Arts Council, The Prince's Trust for Children & the Arts, Kadam, Word in Edgeways, MKarts, Leicester Print Workshop. I was part of a group that developed one of the successful 1000 Arts Council artist residencies in the Year of the Artist 2000.I have designed, developed and managed successful community projects that have been supported by Awards For All and the Local Network Fund. In 2008 /9 I was Co-ordinator / Lead Visual Artist for Back To Books on the project "Invisible Threads" which took research into family history as a starting point for creative expression. Writer Kathy Page and textile artist Tara Badcock were attached to the project.In 2009 I participated in Anthony Gormley's Fourth Plinth Intervention - One Another.In 2011 / 2013 - Back To Books as Lead Artist / Project Coordinator for their project On The Right Track, Marking a Fine Line & Marking Our TracksI am a member of Beanfield Artists and collaborate with artist Jo Dacombe as Miles & Dacombe. Our first collaboration "Fingerprints on the Pew" took place over 3 years and through public engagement and site specific interventions explored an inspirational architectural space in Corby. The Project was awarded a Grant for Artists by Arts Council England. In 2011 we undertook a our Wellbeing Walks / Mapping project and are following on from that with Light Walks For Dark Days. I undertake private and public commissions. I work with digital imagery, print making, photography, mosaics, textiles, silver clay, felt, words, temporary art works and interventions. I have an open, friendly, confident personality, when working with the community it is my job to bring out the best in the people I am working with whilst making sure they feel supported, encouraged, empowered and inspired.
