I instruct a variety of courses in accordance with approved outlines, and help students to learn using a variety of instructional methods in a positive learning environment. Provide continuous monitoring, evaluation and reporting of student progress as well as prepare and maintain all course-related records. Assist students in obtaining appropriate counselling for non-academic matters. Continue to revise and enhance course outlines, curriculum, evaluation procedures, and learning aids to reflect changes, and to ensure the content is culturally relevant. Maintain clinic equipment, laboratory facilities and materials to ensure a safe and organized work environment. As Dental Health Education instructor, I continue to participate with students to bring our learning out to the community.Able to interact effectively with students of varied age, experience, cultural differences and academic background. I have obtained a working knowledge of current theories, principles and practices of adult education through my recent completion of the CAE certificate. I actively promote Dental Assisting by attending career fairs. I continue to hold both MGEU positions of UCN Steward and Women’s Committee.As an instructor of female dominated program, I joined the women’s committee with MGEU to tackle some of the issues women are having in the workforce. We are also a source for education and a voice for women in the political arena.I still continue to be a member of 6 years of the Workplace Safety and Health Committee and participate in building inspections.
