The National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA) provides integrated services for disabled or disadvantaged people, community living facilities, a Youth in Transition School, career development programs for the reentry population, and many other programs that improve lives and communities. Under Carole's leadership, NCIA continues to lead and deliver positive economic outcomes for individuals, their families, and the greater communities in Baltimore, Maryland, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Carole's extensive leadership experience, sense of mission, and business expertise uniquely position her to further NCIA's work and serve as an advocate with a "we can do this" mindset. Throughout the organization and among NCIA's more than 500 employees, Carole's pursuit of building a positive, solutions-focused culture is evident. Her focus and vision build bridges with state agencies, local and regional employers, and other nonprofit organizations where NCIA can add support and value. Carole's AREAS and FOCUS:Collaborating with private industry and local, state, and federal agencies to increase workforce development opportunities for NCIA’s clients and solve their hiring challenges. Ensuring the NCIA Employment and Community Inclusion Program provides enough community, facility-based, and virtual programming for adults aged 21 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Broadening the HJH Vocational Training Center provides vocational training and support services to veterans, returning citizens, opportunity youth, and those receiving federal assistance in Baltimore and Charlotte.Building an agile, people-centric organization driven by its mission and ability to help others gain their second chance.
