College merged with NCG in August 2017 - agreed implementation project completed. Successful turn around from double 'inadequate' inspection gradings and Administered Status to 'satisfactory' 2016 and 'good' latest outcomes (16/17 data). Local reputation and relationships rebuilt. Finances returned to 'satisfactory' and long-term sustainability and growth investment secured through merger.

Newcastle College has more than 22,000 students and 1,500 employees and is a part of NCG. It is one of the best performing FE and HE Colleges in the UK and works directly with over 1,000 local, regional and national businesses. The College is the largest provider of Higher Education in the FE sector in the UK and has full Foundation Degree Awarding Powers. The College also offers Honours and Postgraduate Degrees. Newcastle College has a national reputation for innovation in curriculum and curriculum delivery.
