As a cooperating instructor, I mentor student teachers for an entire year. Modeling is one essential component of this clinical which includes modeling of the following: proficient lessons, lesson planning, teaching behaviors, student interactions, professionalism, etc. Another vital component is co-teaching including lesson planning/assessment collaboration and carrying out small group/whole class instruction.

In the role of grade level team leader, ongoing support is given to team members as we collaborate in our quest to enhance student achievement. This includes facilitating weekly meetings and team lesson planning, as well as communicating any school related information.
