• Directed operations for a distribution center for three different cross-functional teams (receiving, inventory control,transportation and shipping departments) of 100 – 125 people within a warehouse facility. Staff oversight included 5 managers, 5 supervisors, 5 team leaders, 4 Quality Assurance team members, and 83 hourly personnel—major hospitals partners in the Southeast Region for the State of Georgia. • Performed human resources duties, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, reviewing payroll timesheets, and managing staff performance.• Established and maintained strong working relationships with supervisors, team leads, management, and vendors.• Achieved operating performance targets in safety, quality, customer service, and efficiency. • Monitored and managed inventory accuracy and ensured order fill improvement efforts. • Maintained and implemented distribution center safety programs to provide safe and clean workplaces for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. • Led and developed distribution center managers in best practices using collaborative leadership and coaching. • Designed the development of short and mid-range projects to fulfill the goals and objectives of the receiving, inventory control, and shipping departments. • Developed and measured key performance indicators to track and evaluate inventory performance, assist in assessing the effectiveness of the inventory management function, and work towards continuous improvement. • Led and supervised supervisor, team lead, quality assurance team, and staff in inventory control/quality assurance operations. • Responded to disruptions in outbound processing and ensured that customer commitments were fulfilled. • Ensured prompt and efficient scheduling of shipments, ensured accurate scanning of labels and appropriate picks for small quantities and bulk pallets were accurate.
