I love what I do. As a family care nurse practitioner, I believe that carefully listening to patients is key to helping them feel better. During my last decade plus of experience, I have earned a reputation for exuding a warm and caring bedside manner, with many patients specifically requesting my services. I have experience in family care, critical care and nephrology care. Below are select highlights from my career thus far.As Family Nurse Practitioner at the CVS MinuteClinic:• I see up to 70 patients per week, consistently exceeding company time goals, averaging 15.9 minutes average customer wait time compared to 28.9 minutes company-wide, as well as 19.3 minutes average visit time compared to an average of 19.7 minutes company-wide. • I have zero no charge referrals per week compared to a company average of .4 per week• I have trained ten new clinic nurse practitioners at multiple locations on protocols including customer service, testing, treatment, workflow, inventory management, payment collection, insurance processing and computer systems.As Director of Nursing and Operations Team Manager at the Dialysis Clinic, Inc.:• I retooled six hemodialysis clinics increasing functionality and quality of patient care.• I earned a John Hopkins University Award recognizing persistent and accurate information gathering on for a joint research project.• I devised a database to monitor all hemodialysis vascular access interventions decreasing acute hospitalizations and improving consistency. Additionally developed an infection monitoring and tracking tool resulting in decreased infection frequency and less antibiotic use.• I initiated a new fistula annulation procedure, improving cannulation success rates.My work philosophy includes a dedication to continuous learning and patient education.
