I manage the multi-functional support service contract for NAS Jacksonville and Pinecastle. I tackle and resolve contracting issues through research, critical thinking, and group discussions, to ensure my final decision is fair to all parties involved. I communicate clearly to ensure contractor(s) understand their role(s) and responsibilities as it pertains to the requirements in their contracts and I ensure my Government counterparts are held accountable to their roles and responsibilities pertaining to the contract. I perform work on multiple projects simultaneously, while coordinating multiple moving parts as new requisitions and contract modifications arise from customers/contractors, for services and construction.I review requisition request(s) and provide our customer(s) feedback to ensure we have a solid requirement before I issue the solicitation for bidding. I write construction and service negotiation memorandums for contract awards and I get the best prices for the Navy. I am an expert at interpreting Defense and Federal Acquisition Regulations. I am proficient in explaining and training other acquisition team members on policies and procedures for contracts and task orders. I ensure all parties involved in the acquisition process have a pleasant experience and our customer(s) are satisfied.

In this fast-paced environment, I aided in facilitating on average 5 port visits a week. Our team served over 150 ships’ port visits annually, in the Naval Forces Central Command area of responsibility. I reviewed and released team members’ orders and modification packages. I recommended solutions to our team’s problems pertaining to the Contractor and contract; addressed contracting questions pertaining to the terms and conditions of the HSP Contract. I created Standard Operation Procedures for the HSP team; and provided training to Purchasing Agents and Contract Specialists concerning the processes and procedures for termination for conveniences, fair and reasonable determinations, upward obligations, and requests for equitable adjustments.During my brief time in the ship repair group, I created a ship repair fact sheet to assist current and new employees in administering contracts in this group, the fact sheet explained the background of ship repair, terminology, resources available on NAVSUP’s contract knowledge site, and required documents to be included in contract folder.

Provided contractual support to acquire logistical, operational, and business support services for NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center's customers throughout the US, Spain, Guam and Japan.Maintained consistent communication with Government stakeholders involved in the acquisition process to ensure we delivered requested support services to meet and exceed our fleet customers’ expectations.
