Managing and executing the operational side of sales forecast for North and South America for three of the most complex business lines within Gemalto: Government Programs, Identity & Access and E-Banking. These business lines cover all the company’s range of products. Kicked off the beginning of the EMV migration.In my scope we reviewed and analyzed the sales pipeline to understand the risks and provide input to be 2 steps ahead. Coordinated the order life cycle: receipt, order executability, production, personalization and fulfillment. We coordinate the efforts of local planning, engineering and manufacturing departments in nine different sites in eight countries to achieve delivery success.

Appointed as the Integration champion for North America for the Gemplus – Axalto merger (which became Gemalto). Integrated and aligned sales, customer service and sales operations for the North America Region. Built processes around customer activities, forecast to plan and order to cash. While managing the merger, I provided oversight to the integrated pipeline for all the business lines in the company.

Relocated to the United States to work on the creation of the Americas Hub for Banking and Security Business Units. Introduced the Sales Operations and Manufacturing Planning roles for the Supply Chain HUB. Supported the EMV introduction and migration in Mexico and Brazil. Set in place tools and processes for the newly created Customer Service Hubs in North and South America. Developed process improvements during the integration, managed the introduction of new tools and migration of ERP system in Mexico and the US.

Relocated from Madrid, Spain to Mexico City. Was responsible for Security and Retail sales in Central America and Mexico. Achieved 160% of my sales target, in my first year, by building a trusted relationship with my customers. Increased the support to our customers in Central America by expanding our VAR network in the region, focused on loyalty and retail programs.

Working on the recovery of key customers in Spain and Portugal by strengthening our supply chain, logistics and deliveries capabilities in the country. Achieved success by bringing the necessary knowledge and expertise closer to our customers, worked on initiatives to close the operational gaps and allow us to be competitive. Built a local customer service team in the region for the Banking and Telecommunications markets at the peak of the EMV and SIM card migration.

Supported the third biggest customer for Gemplus, CANTV and the beginning of the EMV migration in Latin America. Worked on tools and processes for customer service teams outside of central operations. Was recognized in 1997 by Gemplus Headquarters as the best Customer Service World Wide.
