A research development professional with over 15 years experience in the academic sector, I am Director of Operations of the Institute for Mathematical Innovation (IMI) at the University of Bath responsible for fostering and developing IMI's industrial and cross-disciplinary academic relationships.Previously, I was based in Bath’s Research and Innovation Services focusing primarily on the research development of EU funding. During eight years working in the Irish academic sector, I covered a wide range of research administration roles including research development, pre-award finance, contract negotiation, post-award project reporting, and public engagement. As a programme officer at research funding agency Science Foundation Ireland I managed funding programmes, launched calls, and implemented international review processes. I am committed to exploring and sharing best practice, regularly attending and presenting at professional association meetings including ARMA and NORDP, with a particular interest in methods for facilitating collaborations, generating new research ideas, and providing more time-efficient support.
