Profile bio

About Caroline Button

I am a counsellor and occupational therapist. I am passionate about enabling and empowering individuals to live the best life they can despite the obstacles and experiences life has thrown at them. Acknowledging that at times, we all need a supportive professional to help find a way through the rollercoaster of life to be able to mourn and recover from trauma and losses. Through previous experiences of exclusion stigma vulnerability and disability I can offer a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate supportive space to explore anything that is troubling you. To be able to relieve you of heavy burdens and deep griefs that may blight your life. My work is informed by my core training as an integrative counsellor, which draws on different theoretical models to suit your needs, such as relational, person centred; psychodynamic; and holistic functioning. This offers a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, supportive, and compassionate environment to simply talk and explore anything that may be causing you distress and unhappiness. Together, there would be the opportunity to find the best way forward for you to be able to a more meaningful, purposeful, and contented way of being by building a compassionate awareness of who you are and how you function from your story. By understanding and working through earlier experiences this can be the key to emotional resilience empowerment and positive change. I am experienced at working with complex situations with an integrative approach that can be creative, flexible and adaptable to engage you in a person-centred recovery journey.

Listed skills include Interventions, Technology Needs Analysis, Treatment, Rehabilitation, and 17 others.
