My area of expertise include Suicide First Aid training and Mental Health First Aid and workplace support. Very often the content I deliver may be of a sensitive or emotive nature; I adopt a calm and empathetic approach ensuing my delivery is clear, concise, informative and engaging. Thus creating a culture where individuals can ask questions and feel at ease to embrace their own learning and development.As a director of the business I manage all aspects of the business development including marketing, network, finances, advertising, and identifying/presenting to potential partners. I maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and statutory requirements as well as competitor activity in order to deliver compliant and competitive services.

This was a multi-faceted role with responsibility for patient care, clinical development and staff management.I provided care to patient's demonstrating empathy, compassion and high standards of nursing and personal interaction. I also liaised with families, carers and professionals within the multi-disciplinary team. When attending MDT and other clinical meetings, I advocated for patients, providing handover and unambiguous information which directly determined treatment and care. My role was within a fast-paced environment, where it was essential to maintain a calm and professional approach even in crisis situations. I coordinated and delegated responsibilities to others to ensure the smooth running of all areas. At all times, I ensured both my own, and my teams, adherence to legislation and standards, policy and procedure and statutory requirements (including CQC, Confidentiality and Safeguarding).I provided management and leadership to clinical and non-clinical staff, adopting a holistic approach to supervision, self-care and professional boundaries.I kept accurate notes, records and documentation of actions and interventions, and provided clear, efficient handover pre and post shifts to ensure seamless transition between staffing teams with no detrimental effect on care.I managed health and safety processes, including risk assessments, incident forms, injury records and controlled drug incidents and trained staff on policies relating to needlestick injuries, slips trips and falls and safe working. I continually developed policies at ward level, taking into account hospital requirements, legislation and guidelines, external factors and addressing any identified risks or vulnerabilities from action plan. Where incidents and breaches occurred, I recorded data, and analysed and presented information to management via meetings or escalation processes for review and action.
