I am lucky enough to now have more than 25 years of arts administration experience at some of New York's, and America's, most fabulous arts organizations. These include The Public Theater, Thirteen/WNET, and the sculpture park and arts center Opus 40. In these roles, I have successfully overseen staff, programming, fundraising, board development, budget preparation and tracking, outreach and marketing, and transition/succession planning.I have been an executive director for more than 18 years overall, and have learned how to read nonprofit arts organizations and help them to develop and thrive. I now activate all of this and my desire for a generative, healthy and radical commons at Ultra Advising, the boutique consulting company I founded and run with two strong women thinkers/leaders.I have also been editor and curator for Fence Magazine, DoubleChange, Belladonna Collaborative and Matters of Feminist Practice, a journal of feminist engagement. I have published one book, three chapbooks, and numerous poems, essays, translations, reviews, etc in magazines and anthologies.I was on the board of High Meadow School, and sat on its finance committee for 3 years and am currently a board member for Fence Magazine/Fence Books.
