Major Adaptations/ Disabled Grants Funding. To assess applications for grants, including visits to clients, Social Housing , Private Housing, and Owner Occupiers. Complete application for funding, including liason with contractors, including vetting of approved procedures, Health and Safety if using own contractors, costings and any additional funding needed if required, suitability of works recommended by Occupational Therapist, additional support with completing and explaining any financial contribution required from clients, established via the financial assessment. Required for DFG purposes. Be first point of contact for clients whilst work was provided and then arrange compilation of costs from works carried out in line with DFG procedures, through to sign off and payment of completed works. Inspect standard of work throughout project and final inspection on completion, carry out customer satisfaction assessment prior to sign off of payment in line with DFG process. Work alongside Occupational Therapist in relation to request and surveyors and architect.

Volunteering

• Manage a caseload of existing tenants with a range of complex welfare benefit and debt issues, which could include rent arrears, who require specialist welfare benefits advice to assist them in sustaining their tenancies• Offer advice on budgeting and prioritising debts; and where appropriate make active referrals to specialist debt advice agencies.• Assist tenants to complete forms, where necessary, e.g. loan applications, grant and trust fund applications.• Provide assistance to new tenants, particularly those identified as vulnerable and at higher risk of tenancy failure, who have been identified as having a range of potentially complex financial support requirements. This will include providing appropriate advice and assistance, in conjunction with Neighbourhood Coordinators and Officers, to enable them to maximise their benefit entitlement. • Seek out external advice and support agencies who may be able to provide help with practical first tenancy issues such as affordable credit, furniture, utilities, budgeting, employment etc.• run as appropriate benefit advice and support sessions for tenants and resident groups• Offer advice and training to colleagues on changes to welfare benefits and Housing Benefit legislation.• establish and maintain links with a range of welfare benefit agencies• develop database and monitoring systems to enable the outputs and outcomes of the post the be monitored and evaluated and shared with colleagues, for example; numbers, type and outcomes of casework• Promote the take up of basic bank accounts among the Association’s residents• Shape and support the work of the central Financial Inclusion Team. • Ensure customer involvement is central to the development of the service. • Overhaul responsibility for identifying Health and Safety Solutions from identified risks, working in conjunction with the Health and Safety Team.• Responsible for implementing and producing Project Plan with support from Regional Management Team• Working with various levels of staff from Regional Managers to Local Site Services Personnel.• Developing process to reduce risks, identify suitable landscaping equipment and suppliers. • Carry out Noise and Vibration training for Managers and front line staff.• Make recommendations of best practices. • Co-ordinate between HR and relevant regions, along with external Health Provider to organise Health Surveillance for identified members of staff to satisfy relevant legislation

• Train Site Service Staff/ Contractors and other staff members of our Duties in terms of Health and Safety obligations and Fire Safety Legislation.• Produce and present training materials in relation to the tasks staff are required to carry out, in terms of Health and Safety Inspections and Fire Safety Testing.• Carry out on site training in terms of what it expected and how to complete relevant paperwork needed.• Audit checks carried out and ensure that training has been understood correctly, to feedback findings to relevant line management to ensure findings are fed back to staff members in a positive and constructive manner.

• Carry out Health and Safety Inspection in building with Communal Areas, to establish that these areas were both Fire Safe and no Trip hazard in place. To report any deficiencies to relevant staff to adhere to our policy and ultimately make safe.• Report any repairs to our Maintenance Team in line with required time scales, to follow up any outstanding repairs to completion.• Meet and liaise with Fire Safety Officer when Fire Audit was necessary, to act on any enforcement action and follow through to completion, in conjunction with other areas of the business.• Carry out Fire Risk Assessments and reviews in accordance with company policies, and ensure relevant paperwork was documented.• Update and complete Regional Monthly Key Performance Report and liaise with relevant parts of the business to resolves problems identified
