Profile bio

About Caroline Glidden, Phd

I am an ecological epidemiologist working at the interface of public health and environmental science. I pair remote sensing, genetic, immunological, and case report data with a suite of computational techniques (machine learning, mechanistic models, network analyses, and longitudinal analyses) to forecast emerging disease risk under global change. The ultimate goal of my work is to facilitate development and deployment of highly targeted management interventions. I earned a PhD in Integrative Biology with a minor in Statistics from Oregon State University in 2020. I bring skills in: data science, longitudinal analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, geospatial analysis, project management, international research, grant writing, grant management, data management, and programming (in R and Python).
