Being part of the Grocery Team at Whole Foods Market was an exciting position in a company that have high values when it comes to sustainable development. At Whole Foods I developed my skills in team work, customer service, the company's sustainability work and knowledge about foods.I also led the store's Green Mission Team; it was a very exciting opportunity where I got to lead a team of representatives from the different departments of the store (which in total had about 100 team members). The Green Mission is Whole Foods Market's Environmental Stewardship; each store has a Green Mission Team and together they look into how to make the store greener and more sustainable. Some of my experience from Whole Foods Market in short:- Delivering excellent customer service and sales- Thorough product knowledge- Sending, checking and placing orders for the "point of purchase" area- Leading the store’s Green Mission Team (The Green Mission is the environmental group in each store, there's one representative from each department). This includes setting up and making agendas for meetings and ensuring decisions made at meetings go to plan (following the “PDCA”- principle; Plan, Do, Check, Act)- Putting together a training scheme in Environmental Awareness & Sustainability with a focus on waste management and recycling and training staff in this process.- Complying with and making sure products live up to food safety laws
