A wealth of experience across a broad range of topics and geographies derived from 30 years with IBM across the globe. Last years in IBM as High Performance Computing Director, driving a zero market presence in HPC in the UK to total domination, winning every major supercomputing contract, eg Met Office, AWE, ECMWF and several national academic systems both in the UK, Ireland, South Africa and The Netherlands. Previous roles included Client Management for the Army, Navy, RAF, NATO, US forces in UK as well as every major UK government department such as DWP. Assigned to South Africa to work with the SA government at at time of major political change in the mid 90s helping launch IBM back into the country with contracts with SA Police and Prison Service in Pretoria and the National Scientific Spercomputing Service in Cape Town. Worked in Lebanon at the British Embassy in Beirut for 6 years from 2014, on the board for the selection of Chevening Scholarship candidates for the Middle East as well as being the Lead Mentor and Coach for the joint British/Lebanese TechHub, nurturing start-ups across finance/medicine/agritech/social and education with a view to VC applications and launch into the UK. Blasted out by the port explosion in 2020, returned to the UK and started work in the 3rd sector, helping set up organisational capability for Client Management, Business Development and sales/bid writing
