    · This role originated under Staffordshire County Council (SCC) as “Childcare Development Officer” and continued through the creation of the joint venture company Entrust, where I became a “Childcare Sufficiency and Market Development Consultant”. · Support childcare providers to establish their businesses to develop by conducting market research, producing cash flow forecasts and business plans to establish financial viability and marketing plans.· Source external funding streams for the statutory and voluntary sectors and support with bid applications.· Support voluntary management committees to ensure they operated correctly.· Establish and sustain working relationships with a wide variety of agencies, creating a strong network of contacts. · Lead on the “Play” agenda on behalf of Staffs County Council, including being a key partner in the County Play Partnership and writing the County Play Policy. · Key stakeholder in both the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Newcastle play Partnerships, organising Playdays which attracted up to 800 attendees. I also took responsibility for relevant insurance and risk assessments for each event.· Securing of external funding for these events, including leading on the Playbuilder Project which received millions of pounds of funding to develop play areas across the County.· Lead on the “Toy Library” agenda on behalf of Staffs County Council for three years. This gave me control of a £10,000 annual budget for which I created a business plan and kept accurate financial records of what was spent, copies of invoices and evaluated effectiveness of how the budget was spent.
