Seeking optimal learning outcomes, my more recent work with the Heller Institute focuses on identifying innovations in remote learning, due to the impacts of Covid-19 on in-person classes. As the Professional Writing Course Instructor, I have revised the curriculum course structure to ensure increased level of engagement from international students all over the world. Supported the Immigration and Economic Empowerment programs offered by the IRC, Los Angeles Office. Duties included financial coaching for Arabic speaking female refugee clients, completing immigration paperwork such as permeant residency and citizenship applications, maintaining client files and inputs case notes documenting details of each case, and conducting follow up phone calls in Arabic and English with different clients.

Working directly with the Chairman of the organization to advise on domestic political, economic, and human rights policy issues as well as successfully manage a small team to deliver up to $1million+ project budgets targeting the political and economic empowerment of women and youth. Egypt & Libya

Provided support to several Carter Center election observation missions in Egypt and Libya as a Program Associate, Media Liaison, and Gender Expert Assistant. Worked directly with the Field Office Director – Head of Mission – to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis on women’s participation and media coverage of parliamentary and presidential elections and referendums during regional democratic transitions following the Arab Spring. Duties also included providing daily media briefings and weekly reports on political and legal election updates as well as serving as the media focal point for civic, governmental and political stakeholders.
