Medical Scribe
• Records details of the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, comorbid conditions, medications and allergies.• Records details of the physical exam including pertinent positives, negatives and noted abnormalities.• Records sufficient information in the physician's assessment and plan based on the level of complexity.• Order labs, tests, x-rays, advanced imaging, injections, and DME appropriate to the patient's care and provider's MDM. • Provide referrals to other practices and work/school notes as appropriate.• Proficient knowledge in musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology, especially dealing with the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, as well as other anatomical structures involved in physiatry.• Knowledge in general medical terminology, conditions, and interactions.• Proficient computer and typing skills.• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.• Proficient in training other scribes in Physiatry and the Ortho On Call Urgent Care.• Assist providers with direct patient care as necessary, such as by taking vital signs, assisting in casting and bracing, etc.
