Mentor and assist all newly hired instructors’ transition into their position.Present policies/procedures and standards that are required as an instructor.Follow-up with completion of required assignments.

Assist the Director of Education in establishing educational standards and goals, policies and procedures according to ABHES accreditation requirements. Work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the Medical Billing/Coding program• Plan, evaluate and revise curricula, course content, course materials and methods of instruction with teaching professionals.• Monitor attendance, and other program data to take necessary corrective action to ensure successful graduation and retention outcomes. Determine the scope of educational programs, draft program schedules and descriptions.Continuously update course material to reflect current changes in the Insurance industry and federal/state mandates.Participate in the evaluation of textbooks and other instructional materials.

Counsel and assist students in securing externship opportunities.Liaison with allied health professional organizations and maintain ongoing communications with regard to opportunities available to students.Review and assess the progress of students placed at allied health facilities.Maintain all required documentation for the externship program.

Utilize unit and daily lesson plans as outlined in course syllabi. Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom discussions.Compile, administer and grade examinations and assignments in a timely fashion. Prepare course materials, syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.Record and maintain student attendance records.Counsel students concerning academic performance, attendance, behavior, etc.Exchange and develop instructional methodology with colleagues.Caroline M.
