About Caroline Murphy

I have extensive experience as a Speech and Language Therapist with children and young people with a diverse range of speech, language and communication needs.I deliver joint health/education training on language and communication to educational settings across central/SW London and provide consultation to SLTs working with deaf children and young people in mainstream schools. In my independent practice, I am experienced in medico-legal work, acting as an expert witness in SEND appeals and Tribunals. I have received legal training for healthcare professionals from Bond Solon and am experienced in preparing CPR part 35 compliant reports (50:50 claimant/defendant split) in clinical negligence/personal injury cases.I am commissioned by Local Authorities, Case Managers, families & primary/secondary schools to carry out assessments, devise programmes and deliver therapy for children and young people with a range of SLCN.My special interests include d/Deafness, Down Syndrome, Autism and Acquired Brain Injury.
