I am an experienced aquatic ecologist with specific experience of aquatic ecology surveys, macroinvertebrate identification and water quality monitoring. My professional experience has been gained through working on numerous projects for water companies and through assessments for large linear infrastructure schemes; covering railways, on-shore cable routes and motorways. I have also gained experience from numerous smaller-scale projects including stream realignments, bridge reparatory works and habitat enhancement schemes.My survey skills are specialised in aquatic macroinvertebrate sampling in ponds and rivers, macrophyte identification, MoRPh surveys for River Condition Assessment and electric fishing. I have project management experience of planning and delivering aquatic ecology surveys and reports, including Water Framework Directive assessments.
