About Caroline Sweeney

My core research interests lie in the areas of international human rights law, international legal history, international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and the history and politics of Syria. I am particularly interested in the relationship between international law and international politics, and the manner in which that relationship has manifested itself in Syria from the late Ottoman period to the present day.
