Negotiate commercial agreements with local and international suppliers; participate in the selection and development of new custom products (stationery, home goods, novelty items, confectionery, etc); keep track of pending orders, conduct approval of pre-production and shipment samples and find solutions to issues that may arise in production; show flexibility in regard to frequent adjustments in purchasing plans. Achievements:- Reduced losses in the food/confectionery category by one third for the year 2018-2019 compared to the previous year by streamlining the number of skus based on different stores’ performance;- Contributed to the reduction of losses in the calendar and planner category by making more careful initial purchases and by counting on frequent repeats of best sellers throughout the season;- Ensured constant supply of best selling products through the issue of monthly PO’s.
