Exhibition And Experience Design - Content Developer

Current

New York, New York, United States

Mar 2022 - Present

Editor In Chief

She Performs

In this role I am responsible for the thematic direction, content, and publication schedule of She Performs Global. I am creating, managing, and supervising a team of global correspondents and editing all articles before publishing. I am also scouting exhibitions, and interviewing emerging and established artists for article features.

New York Correspondent And Writer

She Performs

New York City / Remote

She Performs is a global art movement, aimed at empowering (female) artists and their audiences to freely engage with and exchange ideas surrounding equality and gender representation. As the leading New York Representative, I independently plan out and execute strategy and content for the New York publication schedule. Aligned with She Performs’ mission and global outreach strategies, I write articles, exhibition reviews, and artist interviews. My unique style allows me to curate content that emphasizes artist voices and highlights the importance of the works. I have co-hosted digital events (Clubhouse and Zoom) and am currently working on a physical exhibition in NYC. Since starting in this role I am successfully increasing the international awareness of – and interest in – She Performs by promoting diversity and repeatedly creating the most popular articles on the website. This role further allows me to contribute to the current paradigm shift in the contemporary art scene by highlighting BIPOC and AAPI female artists and delivering content that transcends trends.

Project And Communications Associate

Washington, District Of Columbia, United States / Remote

In this position, I co-created the Vaccines&US Cultural Organizations for Community Health website and wrote/copyedited all content. I cultivated new relationships with museums and cultural institutions to become projects collaborators. I assisted the directors in planning, development, and outreach of the collaborative Vaccines&US initiative. I delivered a social media strategic plan and the content & messaging brief for partners and collaborators. Further, I researched and evaluated content and website assets; wrote and edited outreach communication; and generally multitasked between different roles and assignments, as needed.

Senior Interpretive Planner

Greater New York City Area

Lead consultant for the strategic and narrative direction of themes, stories, and messaging for the UN Pavilion at Expo 2020. In this role, I delivered an innovative strategic framework with measurable goals and objectives and positioning the project as a tactic for achieving widespread engagement with the Decade of Action, aligned with the UN Communications Strategy and the Secretary General’s reform agenda. I created all storylines and client briefs for physical, interactive, and digital exhibits. I supervised the creative team consisting of interns and junior staff and presented my concepts, created research updates, and provided best practice recommendations, both as (visual) presentations, and written briefs to colleagues, clients, and senior management.Further, I planned the visitor experience based on proven methodologies for public engagement from behavioral and motivational psychology and UX research and design; I promptly updated and adapted content in response to pressing current events around racial equality (2020 Black Lives Matter Movement) and the global health-crisis (COVID-19). I developed engaging concepts for six featured custom films, including storyboarding, scriptwriting, and providing directing/editing instructions. I also created a UN timeline (stretching over 75 years) including the design, a first rendering for the graphic representation, and content categorization and selection. Due to Covid-19 and a reprioritization of UN resources, the Pavilion project has been postponed and will be implemented as part of the Visitor Experience renewal at UN Headquarters in New York or another project in the near future.
