At my core I am a Business Operations IT Consultant. But what exactly does that mean?As a cofounder at Accounting Seed, I was nicknamed the “C.x.O” where x = whatever’s needed to be done next to move us closer to success. Over the years that list was long, but in all the roles I approached the challenge in a similar way.Understand the problem: Who is closest to the problem? Who is impacted by the problem? and most importantly, how does the problem manifest itself to the customers?Understand the business dynamics: always best done by following the money, and identifying the impact on the KPIs. Know the goals.Identify and inspire the team: I excel at connecting the people, concepts, and resources in unique ways for maximum productivity. Key to this is an enthusiastic, motivated team. Change is not a threat but a motivator. Get it done! Sum up complex ideas into their basic elements and obvious next steps creating constant forward motion. Add daily progress, calculated risks, learning forward by adjusting from failures and you get there.There will always be a next thing every organization needs to do to execute better for their customers and drive better performance for their stakeholders. My background brings:Technical Experience: I have implemented technologies for businesses for over 25 years. Beginning with custom applications back in the 1990s to LMS platforms, SAP, Microsoft business solutions, and for the last 13 years Salesforce.Project Management: I have led teams implementing specific solutions for all size businesses, from the very small to the DoD. For informal style leaders - just let me know when it is done - to the traditional rigor required for government and fortune 100 companies.Product Management: I have led diverse, distributed, product development teams building innovative software solutions such as learning management systems, eLearning solutions, and accounting and ERP applications.I lead with an entrepreneurial mind-set, by motivating teams to create solutions using ideas, and processes. I add in the right people and resources to find the way forward to the stated goal. The future is where we are all headed so let’s plan for it and with constant forward motion we’ll get there and be better for it.
