Central Futures (Careers) Coordinator
CurrentHold responsibility for the development, resourcing, and maintenance of the whole school careers curriculum. Designing and delivering high-quality curriculum content to Year 7 to Year 13 students in line with statutory guidance and the Gatsby Benchmarks. This includes the delivery of careers curriculum content, including presentations to students, parents, and key school partners. Setting up workshops, work experience, CV preparation sessions and mock interviews. Directly manage an engaging programme of events liaising with circa 20 schools throughout the academic year, ensuring students secure exposure to a range of potential career options, meaningful experiences and mentoring opportunities with employers from different sectors. This has included a successful sixth form mentoring and work experience programme for circa 115 Year 12 students, and the creation of a careers-focused curriculum for students in Years 7 to Year 9 (approximately 500 students) aligned with the school’s academic curriculum. Delivery of regular reporting on the effectiveness and impact of the careers programme to the school’s Board of Governors. Act as the co-opted non-teaching staff representative on the school’s Board of Governors and appointed as a Trustee of the CFBS Charitable Trust. An active member of a fundraising working group focused on launching a fundraising campaign for the school’s redevelopment project.
