Supporting Sacha Dench and her team with the launch of a project and onwards to tackle the conservation of a group of incredible animals around the world with an event on 23rd May in London, which is kindly being hosted by Hogan Lovells and sponsored by The Don Hanson Charitable Foundation. ‘Flight of the Vultures’, which will be a series of short expeditions and films, as well as radio programs for BBC Radio 4 and the World Service. It has its roots in the UN’s multi-species action plan, outlining the need for critical action globally for vultures. The evening will be an inspiring opportunity to meet experts and ambassadors, and we will present some unique opportunities to be at the forefront of a high profile campaign, an innovative conservation project, and in saving a group of species. The Maritime Archaeology Sea Trust (MAST) is now considered as the foremost maritime archaeological “go-to” organisation in the UK. It provides “full cycle” maritime archaeological capability – from discovery via display to deterrence and is dedicated to enhancing, through outstanding archaeology and research, the understanding of our and other nations’ rich underwater cultural heritage. MAST is looking for funding to formalise this status by becoming the National Centre, the nation’s foremost maritime archaeological “go-to” organisation as the Centre of Excellence while continuing its work with the Maritime Observatory in monitoring the environmental issues with WW1 and WW2 leaky metal wrecks, many of which are now unstable.
