I manage recruitment, enrollment, all communications with participants, blinding, documentation, record keeping, workflows, budget review, and administrative study tasks. I run the study protocols as well (evening/night and daytime studies). Experienced with: navigating/transitioning Electronic Medical Records systems (PowerChart and Epic) and Clinical Trials Management Systems (internal and OnCore), Institution Review Board, grant preparation, budget proposals, review of study finances, process to start a study at a site.I am currently working on two studies that assess whether earbuds capable of capturing brain waves (ear EEG) can detect sleep and wake states as well as the gold-standard, scalp EEG, used to diagnose sleep disorders in a control group and a group with sleep disorders (namely narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia). Principle Investigator: David Rye, MD, PhD. Promising data from the studies' original endpoints secured additional funding for study continuations. Parties involved: Emory, NextSense Inc., Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Sage Therapeutics.

• Taught 96 undergraduates fundamental research skills and basic hands-on lab skills over two semesters and indirectly supervised and mentored four undergraduate lab learning assistantsTeaching topics: experimental design, statistical analysis (t-tests, chi-square tests) and interpretation, scientific writing, lab notebook and upkeep, scientific posters and presentations, micropipetting, PCR, gel electrophoresis, ELISA assays, yeast, bean beetles, C. elegans worms

• Provided introductory lab support to 96 students in-person and ~400 students virtually over four semesters• Developed supplemental materials to guide students’ thought process to select and interpret statistical analyses correctly, select and include the proper elements of a graph, and convey the broader narrative in cohesively written abstracts (not a requirement, by initiative)• Proposed and implemented a virtual group chat so students in various time zones could help each other and receive faster support from any of the assistants. Hosted virtual office hours at different times of day/night so that students across the world could receive real-time assistance

Researched the interaction between two mutated channels to determine drug treatment options for a patient with abnormal heart rhythm (CPVT). The experiments involved engineering mutations and whole-cell patch clamping to determine the relative locations of the two mutated channels.
