I assisted in helping the organization plan for large events, such as the Recovery Café Indy Opening Reception on Wednesday, September 18th, as well as their Music and Mingle event in early November. Additionally, another goal for my internship was to expand their social media reach - specific in creating a Recovery Café Indy and Recovery Café Lafayette Facebook pageand updating the pages regularly. I also had the unique opportunity to directly serve the Indianapolis community as a volunteer at We Bloom’s Recovery Café Indy and learn about the members of the community through personal connections, group discussion, recovery circles and interviews.
