Separate to my role with IMAGE.ie, I am responsible for the writing and editing of all content within the beauty section of IMAGE Publication's newest title, BASH.

My role as Deputy Editor at IMAGE.ie encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. First and foremost I research and write original content daily, writing roughly 50% of the content found on site. I look after the scheduling of all content, weekly planning and daily ordering of stories, features and more, ensuring a balance of topics across the site. I oversee all things social media as social media manager, scheduling all content on Facebook in particular. Part of my role is to continually grow IMAGE.ie's social media following using organic and strategic tactics. Within 6 months, I had doubled the Facebook fan base from 25,000 to over 50,000 without relying on social media spend. I also work heavily with the commercial side of the company, delivering native ads/advertorials upon request for a variety of happy clients. This part of my role has grown over recent months as I work more closely with key brands to develop content strategies that I would manage on a project basis. On top of this, I take care of all social media competitions, liaising daily with PR companies to promote their brands in a way that fits in with the ethos of IMAGE.ie.

I accepted my role as the Editor of Irish start up Lovin Dublin in January 2014. My job was to deliver and manage all content (including roughly 18 separate contributors) on the website, transforming Lovin Dublin from a personal blog to a successful, revenue-making website. Within my short time here I exceeded my target of over 500,000 monthly visits to the site, securing its position as a staple of the Irish media landscape.

I was promoted to the role of Senior Editor for Ireland's biggest entertainment website, entertainment.ie in November 2012, starting my role properly in January 2013. I reported to the MD of the company, Julian Douglas. My job was to oversee the planning and scheduling of all content on the website, overseeing a large editorial and listings/events team, as well as delivering a certain amount of content myself. I was also responsible for and oversaw all activity on social media. I continued to travel to London during this role, interviewing some of the world's biggest movie stars and maintained my previous role as Film Editor for the cinema section of the website. During this role I developed a strong awareness of the commercial side of media, working very closely with our commercial director on all campaigns, microsites and native ads for a large variety of brands/clients. My job was to find a way to integrate these brands into entertainment.ie in an organic and seamless manner. I was also heavily involved in the running of all entertainment.ie events, including the annual awards, The Erics. During my time as Editor for entertainment.ie I hired for a number of different roles within the editorial team.

Challenge126 saw Mike Sheridan and Brian Maher run from Limerick to Dublin non stop in one go to raise needed funds for Special Olympics Ireland on April 26th. The challenge was also filmed by TechnoWolfe Films for a documentary called 126 which aired on Setanta Sports in August 2012. I worked from the initial planning stages of the challenge right through to the finish line, organising everything from the run itself and the filming of everything in the lead up to managing social media and all press related work for the event. Challenge 126 was trending in Ireland for two days on April 26th and 27th. At present, the challenge has already raised more than the initial target of €20,000. Currently, the total is at €25295.59.
