I am a Risk Expert with twenty (20) years' multi-sectoral and regional professional experience in governance, risk and financial management, gained from various capacities within audit firms, academia and consultancy. I excel at creating systems and processes that bring order, efficiency and profitability to my clients’ organizations by helping them manage risks and not crisis. I hold an International Post Graduate Diploma and an International Certification in Enterprise Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in the United Kingdom. I have hands on experience in various sectors including Manufacturing, Education, Health, Hospitality, County Governments, Development Partners, Not-for-Profit, SMEs, INGOs, among others. I have gained numerous skills over the years, including, but not limited to: risk mapping, risk implementation support, risk evaluation, risk monitoring, business continuity plans, public financial management, governance, assessments, training and more.I started my career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). I later moved to KPMG East Africa as a Financial Management Specialist and rose through the ranks to become a Senior Manager. Afterwards, I moved to the European Union supporting the then Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion Constitutional Affairs as a Management Consultant. Thereafter, I transitioned into setting up my practice, FirstIdea Consulting (FIC) Limited in 2013. FIC is a governance, risk and trade finance consulting company. Our vision is to deliver simple solutions that solve complex risk, governance and trade finance challenges. Our mission is to simplify governance, risk and trade finance challenges, thereby unleashing economic and social possibilities. We aim to deliver greatness in all our interactions.
