Worked on the NASA Environmentally Responsible Aviation (ERA) project at Georgia Tech. Responsibilities included performing analyses using the Environmental Design Space program, creating surrogate models, and working with a Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm to produce a set of pareto optimal solutions to identify optimal technology combinations for various vehicles with the objective of meeting the NASA N+2 goals. Also worked on modifying the graphical user interface (GUI) to display all of our current work.

Created a pseudo 3D fluid-thermal topology optimization model consisting of a conductive base-layer and a coupled fluid thermal design layer. Developed and implemented a lattice Boltzmann model and sensitivity analysis in MATLAB. Research was funded by an Undergraduate Research Grant and has led to the Best Engineering Research Award at Union University awarded in the Spring of 2012 and Spring of 2013 as well as presenting at the ASME 2012 International Congress.
