About Caroline Irons

I am a fourth-year undergraduate at UCLA with a 4.0 GPA majoring in Public Affairs and double minoring in Spanish and Global Studies. I am the President of the UCLA Women’s Club Lacrosse Program and am employed as a Campus Tour Guide. I am a writer for the student sports publication, the Dirt, and have been a part of the UCLA Bearing Witness holocaust remembrance program with survivors for two years. I spent Summer 2024 in Washington, D.C. translating for the IIBA law firm and networking in the city. Summer 2023 was spent in Buenos Aires, Argentina interning for TECHO, a housing non-profit, analyzing the political, economic, and social landscape of the country.My academic interests include international relations and development, diplomacy, and public policy- especially within the federal government. I have experience with quantitative analysis (primarily in the R language), qualitative ethnographic research, and the use of data to inform policy decisions. Skills include native fluency in Spanish (bilingual/biliterate) and R coding.
