My responsibilities focus on creating strategies and tools to develop the brand in both the UK and Middle East for this international luxury carpet manufacturer in the B2B market, and more recently managing the product launch and communication of a new B2C collection into the UK. I investigate new market opportunities, design communication strategies, seek brand aligned collaborations and opportunities for greater brand awareness and ultimately increased business within these markets.

Managing the marketing and communications in the UK and then the Middle East, my role was to increase the brand profile and awareness in these two very different markets. Through strategic planning I delivered exciting and impactful market activations in the regions through a core understanding of the content, key audience (B2B and B2C) and relevant marketing channels. As a key brand ambassador, I successfully connecting and communicated our news, content and brand values to existing and new audiences across cultures, cementing long term relationships and business opportunities. As part of the UK senior management team I was involved in the core business strategies for the organisation, and managing a team of five incredibly talented individuals I was able to lead and learn from an amazing pool of knowledge and expertise.: Member of the UK Senior Management team and Head of Design, Showroom and Marketing ( total team of 6) : Key brand promotional activities - Vitra pop-up Co-Working space, Tailor My Tom Vac exhibition, Vitra Secret Garden afternoon tea experience, ‘Find the Five’ social media activation, extensive select showroom networking events and networking opportunities ie 2016 we welcomed +2500 visitors to the London showroom.

Core activations included creating a strategic marketing plan, managing media relations & coverage, delivering sales & market presentations including the RIBA accredited CPD module ‘Sustainability’, and managing the content and communication for our participating in key industry events ie, 100% Design and Design Junction 2013.

I was responsible for the management and development of key accounts in the workplace, design, property and facilities management sector. My role involved securing target media coverage through ideas generation, feature writing and marketing and media relations, plus plus creating strategic marketing strategies as well as developing, implementing and managing B@B events.

With my design and design management education it was a privilege to work in this public sector government organisation that strived to embed design into the UK’s core business, education, technology and health activations. Initially Events and Marketing Manager I was responsible for both internal and external events aimed at key influencers and business channels. Then as Design Knowledge Strategist I was responsible for building and maintaining a unique online design knowledge resource, ‘Knowledge Cells', working with forty celebrated experts from the design community. I connected International best practise in design with internal and external audiences, and produced and implemented an internal Design Learning programme for approx. 120 employees.

I was responsible for designing and implementing a B2B marketing communications strategy for this Austrian design led workplace manufacturer in the UK. Targeting the specifier and end user market, my role focused on gaining greater market penetration and brand awareness, managing media relations, plus designing and implementing a strategic event schedule both in the London showroom and the Austrian Headquarters, and managing a team of three. I returned part time to Bene UK as Marketing Manager November 1997 - July 2003 after my maternity leave and enjoyed returning to the role and embracing the new and exciting changes the company had undertaken in my absence.
