From 2018-2019, I worked in the Lohmann Lab as an undergraduate research assistant. I helped put on experimental trials and did behavioral analyses; the research focused on how sea turtles use the Earth's magnetic fields to navigate the Atlantic Ocean.Starting in Fall 2019, I started an independent research project in the Lohmann Lab. This project involves working with sea turtles to determine if they use local olfactory (scent) cues to navigate through the Atlantic Ocean and find food. My research requires behavioral analysis, statistical analysis, and writing academic papers.

San Francisco Bay Area

In this internship, I analyzed petitions and lawsuits filed in California in 2018 under the California Environmental Quality Act. While researching these cases I determined how the policy was used and primarily whether there was CEQA abuse. I analyzed the cases that abused CEQA to describe the targeted projects, and compiled those data into statistics and figures for environmental lawyers at Holland & Knight.
